Have you got any visible oil leaks and has the oil level gone down since the change?
-
Ideally you need to get the real oil pressure checked with an oil pressure gauge, these screw into the pressure switch location on the oil pump..
Possibles are
1) Faulty oil pressure switch
2) Badly worn engine internals
3) Faulty oil pump
4) Pressure valve stuck open...

ok thanx guys thanx mark much appretiated i will try a new oil pressure switch and let u now how i get on thanx again thanx :y

It is best to get it sorted just in case it is something simple like an oil pressure switch (new one cost around £5), but generally speaking oil switch coming on at idle when engine is hot on high-mileage cars is considered acceptable... 100k isn't that much but again if everything else is OK and it only happens at idle it should not be a major worry. You can also try switching to slightly thicker oil but to be honest I wouldn't bother.

on the 3.0 is the switch located in the same visinitiy of the alternator?
-
Yes, it protrudes forwards inbetween the alternator and crank pulley...has a sinle electrical connection to it (or maybe two on a Cat as you have oil pressure gauges)
