me that is.
ive bought a spare remote key (correct one), the chip, the key code card from vaux, et al but still no joy.
ive had 2 independent people with the handheld unit try to programme the key but it gets all the way through then is denied access. could the code be wrong? (they have to put in veh omega 1996+) mine is a 2000, is there any other reason im having this bloody nightmare?
i only have 1 key and am stuffed if i lose or break it !!

Same here, so if you sort it I'd be grateful if you let me know how you eventually sort your problem (if you do!) and roughly how much it'll cost me to get a replacement.
Thanks Paul :)

The real Tech2 needs to be level 1 authorised to do keys, this is done once (unlike ECU stuff) via TIS. No idea if generic programmers are the same.

Remote fob from ebay. Blank key (with transponder) from ebay (total about £15 - £20), carpass (if you don't have one), about £15 - £45 depending on how much of a scumbag your dealer is, then programming - I tend to be the cheapest on this, and occasionally get to Nottingham/Derby when I need help from our favourite Admins ;)
