The MV6 has been leaking coolant for a bit, now at the point where it needs filling daily.
My mechanic friend has it at the moment, just come off the phone and its strip down time.
He has told me to get an Inlet manifold gasket (part no and price anyone?)
Is there anything else I should get 'while we are at it'?
And any gueses what the final resolution will be?
HBV replaced, no oil in water, no water in oil.
Cheers

If you look at this drawing:

Between the Intake Plenum and the Intake Manifold you have 6 black O-rings P/N 9118135
Between the Intake Manifold and the Intake Flange there are 3 double-hole red gaskets P/N 90501653
Between the Intake Flange and the Engine Block there are 2 triple-hole gaskets P/N 90501652
As far as I know the oil cooler cover is sealed with sealant only i.e. no gasket.
Normally there is no need to replace this gaskets unless they are damaged, though I did replace all of them as matter of course.
Other gaskets you will encounter along the way are the Throttle Body to Intake Plenum, two small O-rings at the front of the black plastic breather box, and one odd-shaped O-ring type seal just under the black plastic breather box. Again, no need to replace unless damaged (I didn't replace these).
I don't have the costs off-hand, but the red intake ones were relatively expensive, probably £6-£10 each.

...sory, i am assuming you are referring to the MV6, not 2.2CDX?
Also, I was referring to an oil cooler job, if it is only the HBV then the Intake Plenum does not need to come off (although access will obviously be easier if it did) - removing the wipers scuttle board should be enough.

Where is it dripping from?

I think the leak is going to be from the oil cooler cover or the thermostat housing.

Cheers, yes the MV6
Coming from somewhere at the back of the engine, dont know where :(
I was starting to think oil cooler area, we will soon see.
Think I will have to join ABS pdq!

Assuming its not a split hose around the HBV , I also vote for somethingin the valley.
(Your not getting water in the car are you? in which case it might be heater matrix)

Could be the coolant bridge gaskets, metal washers with rubber bonded to the inside.
