You should still have a TC button, on mine its next to the drivers side heated seat switch :y
-
here's one then, to save posting a fresh thread..
I dont appear to have a TC button that I can tell, but i do have a winter mode button, the snowflake, when its on the button itself lights up, however I have an actual TC light on the speedo panel, am I missing a button, or some braincells?!
(2000 facelift 2.0 GLS auto by the way, i'll change my details on the left in a minute)

Does a 2.0 need traction control ::) ;D. I haven't a clue about the facelift Omega Danny as I can't afford one :'(

Hi And thanks for the reply Nope no TC button I've got a blank button with no function but all the others do what they say. Ive been told its all linked in with the computer, but a couple of mechanics have tried and failed to sort it. Its Very Frustrating

I know my previous 98 3.0 Elite and the 99 one ive got now both have the TC switch next to the heated seat switch. Im sure one of the Omega Oracles will be along soon to give you the answer :y

You should be able to fit one......all it does it connect a single wire to 0V.....

2.0 doesn't have TC VX didn't think it needed it

Only v6 has TC - 2.0/2.2 (all variants) and 2.5TD don't need it!
Usually, they moved the switch from the left of radio to left of drivers heated seat switch.
The wiring should be there, so a case of getting a switch, and doing a small wiring mod...

Hi Thanks I hope you're right and the wiring is in situ Because to be honest everyone i have asked has said something different. Since owning the car and Delving myself into the world of OMEGA I came to realize that although my car is an Elite it has the carbon effect trim from an MV6 so this could explain why no T/C button. If The wiring is not there what would happen if i dissconnect the t/c sensor from the other end??? Thanks again

MV6s have traction control, there is a chance you have a rebadged bodged up poss lower spec car/ ex-police car.
Where abouts in Grays are you, as i have a spare button and could pop round and show you where to stick it, in a polite way of course ;D
*edited to add*
I think the traction control sensors also work with the ABS so disconecting would be a no no
-
Exactly, ABS and TC are based on the same sensors. Removing them will mess up the ABS

It is likely the wire will be there, standard looms and all that.
You cannot simply disconnect it from other end - its integral in ABS ECU
