Plume of white smoke and it is smelly comes out of the exhaust on start up.
I think it is injector seepage rather than valve seals, what is the concensus.
Never had oil burning on a cat car so don't know what it would smell like.

White smoke = water?

How long does yours run on petrol for before switching to LPG...?
-
Isn't water a by product of running on LPG.
-
Water is a by product of running on anything ;)
That's why exhausts rust through >:(
I've known cat equipped cars to throw out a plume of white smoke if they've been flooded so a leaking injector sounds plausible. Any other problems starting? Does cranking with foot on floor for a few seconds followed by starting normally help?
I guess if the petrol injection system only gets used during warm up it might be more prone to getting bunged up. Might be worth running a tankful of fresh fuel through it without using the LPG and maybe add some fuel system flush?

I have chucked some Redex in now, runs for about 2 minutes when cold and 30 seconds when warm and about 40-50 seconds when started after a few hours.
I think it is fuel seepage - I'll try sniffing again.

Can't afford to chuck a tank of petrol through :-[

Presumably it is happening before the switchover?
Could the lpg injectors be leaking (yours is SGI?). Obviously the petrol ones could be as well.

Firstly LPG systems leak - they all do - prevents pipes delaminating :o there are microscopic holes to allow leaking gas to escape rather than delaminate and burst the hose.
Secondly the gas would not return to liquid.
It did it when I started the car from cold this morning

The propane would dissipate or burn very rich, this I am sure was based on a liquid.
