Alternator bushes?

Do you mean the shaft bearings? if so you can get them off t'internet, try Simply Bearings, iirc you need a 6202-2RS and a 6302-2RS

just wasted 5 hours removing alternator stripping it down just to find out that the bearings suggested are infact absolutely no where even close to the size that are fitted to the alternator on an 2.5 omega. im totaly PISSED OFF  >:(

Sorry to hear that... I took-off the drawings, but Mark's sizes are spot-on according to Vx EPC, so not sure what happened there...

sorry for the delay...yes i checked and double checked. but the bearings on my alternator are a lot bigger. one thing i did notice was that the biggest one looked like it was totally sealed ( incased in metal ) however i did take the smaller one apart to find it was very dry so obviously i packed it with plenty grease (lurpack) its definatly a lot quiter but I can still hear it ( you know how it is ) i know the sensible thing to do would have been to read the numbers on the sides or to measure them but i was so gutted that i just stuck it all together and went in a big huff.....paul :)

Also... it isn't an ex-plod car, is it? I'm thinking of a heavy-duty non-standard alternator...
