Hi there again.
Sometimes there is a low pitch dry sound coming from my steering column when turning from lock to lock, mostly from right to left towords the end. Is there a greasing nipple or any way to grease ?
Thanks
Lyn

Sounds like it could be the air-bag clock spring( also known as airbag squib) it's a coil similar looking to a clock spring and is housed in a black plastic container which almost resembles those round plastic holders for plumbers PTFE tape and these sit just behind the steering wheel and tend to give a rubbing/squeaking noise which might be what you're hearing.

Thanks for that Pete, can this squib be lubricated to stop the noise?

I have heard of it being lubed somehow, but trying to get anything in there is a tad awkward for lubing and also if you have radio controls on the steering wheel also could cause some damage, anyway I felt with mine, that it was a bit risky fiddling around with it as the airbag could deploy if you're not careful, so got local Vx garage to change it ,having said that mine was then quiet for about a year and now the noise is back again but seems to go after temp' in cabin rises!! s gonna leave it.
