Title: Door check link

The door check link on my drivers door come adrift at the door end.It looks like the metal around the hole in the door split.I had to remove it has i could not shut the door.

Not uncommon, VX produce repair parts which involve removing the door, if you search on here you should find part numbers and procedure. Field remedy 1291 lists parts & work needed.

Don't let the welding put you off, large pop rivets have about the same diameter as spot welds, it worked for me anyway.

Thanks Mike I have found the article you refered to so I will give it A go when I get the time.
