Title: Temperature problem on my Elite
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 10 June 2007, 16:05:45
Now I know I need an aircon regas... BUT

When both climate controls are set to LO - and you turn up the fan (not the temp) a bit... it blows really hot air into the car.

I've got a few thoughts, but anyone else got any ideas?

My Vacc pipes are all set up correctly - Mark checked them the other weekend.

HBV faulty?

Have you reset the system (if it is resetable).

I would check also for jammed air flaps

I know what you mean - too hot to do the rear breathers too!

As to HBV mine is partially bypassed by the evaporator pipewook but not enough flows that way to make it warm the Aricon was lovely this afternoon.

I'm holding off spraying the bumper until I have finished all the engine work!

How is the pollen filter?

I still suspect an air flap though

Reset the climate.

Also, ensure nothing is blocking the small vent in the climate panel in the middle. Also, may be the sampling fan in the said vent....
