Title: What do the plod do to the car
Post by: Scrawni on 20 September 2007, 23:51:09
I don't know what they do but dang its fast, not as fast as my last car which was a 3.0 twin turbo but a lot faster than my last MV6 and this thing drifts like it it was meant to go sideways

They have an uprated suspension to carry the extra loads plus, with the plod gear removed its pretty light.

They definitely have a Limited slip diff and I also suspect its lower ratio an hence the better acceleration.

I have a suspicion they also have a different map, the chip in my old 3.0 was a Vx one but had totally different markings to any of the normal 3.0 ones (it had a silver label and OSV marked on it)

If it had said SVO then I would say it stands for Specialist Vehicle Operations, Vauxhalls company who tweak the cars for the Police etc.

Well this one of mine pulls in third right up to just past 90 and then tails off but slap it into 4th and off she goes again

Imagine putting twin turbos on one :o
