Title: Black hose to air valve.

I think the little black round think by the radiator is an air valve of some sort. The hose coming out of the left hand side is very soft and with faint cracks in it. What does this do and is it wise to renew it.

Its all part of the air injection system.

One option is to totaly remove it as its not required for MOT purposes.
