Post by: Craig_R on 21 June 2007, 21:55:42
Hiya Could anyone tell me is this cable on the Right hand side of the photo a connection for the Microphone if its installed, the one with 3 wires connected,

As if it is I might beable to connect one for a project I am thinking about.

If Its not for the Mic whats it for ? I dont mean the sun roof connector.

yep - looks like the one for the mic. However whilst it was fitted on my current miggy (2002 elite) and I used the autoleads pre-wiring lead, the built-in mic didn't work - so I ended up having to fit the proper nokia one anyway  ::)

On my 2003 CDX, the microphone is in the interior light, but it appears to be an active device and needs a voltage feed. I too gave up and used a Nokia.

Initially I fitted it in the light and used the installed wiring, pickup was poor and muffled.

Yes I couldn't get the Mic built in the lamp to work either! Ended up using the nokia one which came with the kit.

I fitted the mic next to the courtesy light as below:

- routing the cable inside the headlining and down the nearside 'A' pillar to the control unit ... looks fairly neat and works well  :y
