Title: won't start following fuel filter change

Just had a bit of a bugger.

Changed fuel filter on the estate, car started. Then there was a "whoosh" sound, and the new filter popped back off. DOH.. duff clips. Changed them, re-fitted filter.

Now she won't start at all. It's tried to catch a couple of times, and there seems to be some fuel at the rail..

I've tried bleeding the injector rail, and the unions, and the filter is definately on there ok.

But she just won't start. Fuse 18 is fine.

The fuel gauge is very very low, but from experience, there should be enough in there to start it. But maybe not after getting this air in?

I'm just off to get a can of fuel to be sure.. but suggestions most welcome, I can't try and start it anymore until I do something, may drain the battery...

How? Its run out of oil as well? !!

How? Its run out of oil as well? !!

You should have seen the sump washer that came off!!!!! I've never seen anything like it, it was mangled.

Also, the filter was so loose, it was almost spinning on it's own!!

a nice cheap fix then. So sort out the multirams, and its a good'un?

The multirams are fine, now I've removed the pipe that was blocking it!!!!!

Doh!  :o  You live and learn!

What pipe was blocking the multirams then?
