I had my AC refilled about 4months ago and all was well, Nice cold air constant and it still works fine.
My only problem is just lately the compressor has begun to click intermittently some days its fine and some days its clicking.
I'm guessing the compressor is on its way out although the AC is working fine.
The AC is still blowing cold which is the good thing just wondered whats the recommended.
VX will probably want silly money just to check the system.
Can the clutch assemblies be replaced in situe or is it a whole new compressor needed.

If its been overfilled then the high-side pressure could be too high causing the over-pressure switch to operate which turns off the clutch, pressures then fall until switch cuts back in so off we go again...
Refrigerant pressure will be considerably higher on warm days so problem might not have appeared when you first had it re-filled.

I just don't know what to think he filled it to the specs as stated on the sticker on the rad cover at the front of the engine bay so it should be right.

Could be, its just a little annoying not knowing what is causing it, I guess a system check with Vx is in order to be 100% all is ok.
Certainly sounds as though it could be the problem, mainly in warm weather it clicks any other time its fine.

Did he empty it, vac it and then re-fill whilst weighing the cylinder?
Or did he just top it up.

The guy who did it for me emptied and vacced the system before the refill he even put some dye in so if I do get any leaks it should be easily identified.
Stood and watched him do it so to me all was fine.

Might still be over filled.....it needs the pressures checking idealy.
Also, check the wires to the pressure switches on the refrigerant lines.

I shall go have a look now what do i need to look for loose connections or bare wires :-[

Just been out and had a look the AC refrigerant pipe at the front this is getting very cold and wet with moisture the lower one feels warm, sat inside the car and its blowing nice and cold, I checked to make sure the clutch was kicking in and to me its working can see it stop when the ac is off and spinning when switched on so to me its engaging.
I checked the connectors on the lower refrigerant ac pipe which seems to get warm and both connectors are home and tight in place.
Hope this makes sense.
