Title: drivers side passenger door
Post by: chelskifl on 25 June 2007, 18:48:30
i have a strange problem all may doors lock except the drivers side passenger door i have checked the fuse which is fuse 20 i under stand the fuse controls door light and solaniod, when i removed the fuse the cental locking and the door lights went off. replaced it 3 doors working but the passenger door does not.. the light on the door does not work either.. i tested the voltage to the bulb holder nothing,, which leads me to suspect a break in the power to that door,, any tips for testing circuit cheers :o

My initial thought is knackered lock motor.  As for LED, the windows are not disabled by switch near gearstick?

that seems strange because there is no voltage to the lamp holder on door, the voltage is shared with the door lock soliniod.. according to the fuse layout.. thats why i was thinking there could be a break in the supply voltage

Hmmm, my facelift (only ones I have to hand) show them as independent circuits...

well on mine which is a 1997 elite estate 3.0 the one fuse a 20amp handles the central locking and door kerb lights.
thats why i think it strange only on that door no kirb light and no central locking.. i did have a short ciciut in the alarm horn the other month check my previous post, quit wierd.
