I Haynes manual is still useful, the facelift Omega's are not covered. But the differences are minimal in terms of mechanics.

Dexron III is best for autobox's  :y

DexIII is the require spec of auto oil.

Its available here for a good price and is very good stuff

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/performance_lubricants/pdf/fuchs/TITAN_ATF_4000.pdf

You need about 5 litres so its probably worth buying 6 to be on the safe side

Interestingly, the yanks change there oil about every 40K miles on this autobox.

Sump gaskets and filter are available here:

I put DexII in the Senator, but we were putting DexIII in project tractor....

I assume that is a typo - it needs to be Dexron III, not Dexron II...

£38 inc p&p (UK) for the 2 gaskets and filter from jpat

Halfords sell 5l DexronIII for £20.99

Hope that helps.

Thanks. Now all I need to do is find a supplier here of the dexron 111. No Halfords here! I'll start by asking at a motor factors type place where I got my air and pollen filters from.
