Well should it?
been following the vac hoses for me multiram issue, and air is hissing out from this hole!

Its the back of this thing that this pipe goes into ;)

All he vac pipes seem to be fine, traced them all, no leaks, but still no rams

Owen ! Not sure why you haven't had any/many replies but as far as I know...No ! A vac pipe DOES fit in to that position. I swear its one that comes from the front....others should confirm which one....If you don't get a confirmed answer..get back to me and I'll pop out to check on mine.

cheers duggs :y

Yep theres a vac pip goes to this unit, as in the pic, but air is hissing out of the back part of as in the pic.
Just hd another look at it, too of the air from the front t-fitting and give it a blow! Yup air hissing from the back of that thingy! When I put my finger on the hole and whilst blowing the tube there is no airflow foward or backwards :-/
-
Right recon I have fixed it, getting the hang of this stuff a little! ;)
The two vac pipes that run into the rear bit were on the wrong way around according to this pic I found in the maintance guide!
SO I swaped them round so the small pipe ran from the back as in the pic :)
Now 1 major thing happened when I tried it, the vacs in the right place must have powerd up the flux-capacator is it goes like a fakin rocked! It wasnt slow before, but now, i nearly wet me pants 8-) 8-)
2 other things though, not sure if this has sorted the multiram out, though its just to dam dark to see at the min, and me torch battrys are flat ;D
Now going back to that hole at the back of the thing that the 2 vacs go into, well thats hole is still hissing air! Is it meant to his air? I just dont know :-/
But performance wise, :o :o :o :o :o :o 8-) 8-)
Of course all the incorrect vac piping must have been done before I got the car?????? :-[ :-[ :-[
Yes right , of course it was! ;D
-
Of course it will, the multrams are working.....as said in numerous posts, the vac feed must go to the nose of the vac solenoid as the side outlet vents to atmosphere when the valve is shut.

Check the pipe connections are correct......pipe from reservoir @ front of engine goes to the end connection of the solenoid.
Side connection on solenoid goes to multiram actuator.
If pipes are correct then replace the solenoid.
If pipes are wrong then it will suck air through the solenoid vent hole.
