Post by: Owen on 05 July 2007, 17:34:56

Yep, started striping ready for the rocker gasket going on and found this when I took injectors off

Been onto the stearlers and there saying they wont have one till next week! >:( >:( And they want £10+vat ::)

Need to get this sorted before next week so what I need to know is, can I but the dasket as an aftermarket part or is it GM only?

Also would this have made any differance to the cars overall performance?

If it's sucking in unmetered air, it won't help.

I may possibly have a spare...

Thats knackered. Not sure if dealer only part.  I never paid anywhere near that much, but I do get trade prices.  You could try Motorserv up at Wolverton - probably the best factors in Milton Keynes area....

In that case, seeing as they have most of the pattern suppliers catalogues, its gonna be dealer only.

Let me see if I have one...

But it was worth getting wet for, I've just found 2 fuel filters (with clips!) that I didn't know I had :D

P/N 90501653.

'Conveniently' they come in pairs, and you normally need 3 off...

Sorry but I don't have a spare one, the ones in the picture already went into my engine.

P/N 90501652 is the intake-flange to coolant-bridge gasket, and you would normally need 2-off:

I may have a spare one of those if you get to a point where you need it...
