Title: Rev limiter
Post by: luv_my_mv6 on 08 July 2007, 04:06:37
Went out last night to pick up a mate from heathrow airport, and driving down the M4 spur, I thought i'd really show the engine who's boss, I had my foot stuck to the floor in 3rd gear and waited, and waited for the rev limiter, but it never seemed to limit me, the revs went over the last red line and im confident it would have carried on till the engine blew up, not something I was expecting, should I have a rev limiter set in there or am I suffering another problem  >:(.
Must say though, my god did the revs shoot up from 5k rpm to the top in a blink of an eye, the car felt like it was going to do a wheelie, I was shaking with fright - wont ever do that again  :o
