Title: Smoke!!
Post by: megaomega123 on 11 July 2007, 14:48:40
Car has taken to smoking. Seems to be almost immediately after starting and continues whilst running. Smoke is coming from drivers side, below rocker cover towards the rear. Looks like oil onto manifold but unsure what could cause this.

I have lubricated ICV and throttle butterflys. Could over lubrication cause this? It started within minutes of doing this. I know the gaskets need doing. Do rocker cover gasket just produce oil in the plug wells or can they leak outside also?

Cam cover gaskets can also leak onto the manifold causing quite spectacular smoke.....
