Title: Dry cams
Post by: megaomega123 on 13 July 2007, 13:07:32
I am now on passenger side cam cover gaskets. I noticed yesterday that the driver's side cams were sat in oil. However this is not the case on passenger side. Is it worth putting a bit of oil in before putting cover back on, or should I just top up the oil after completion?

Thats surprising, unless its all leaked out through the cam covers!

If you look at the head, you will see two torx headed bolts, these are T-vents, pop them out and check they are not blocked.

Had a check, blew through it all clear. Think it was just down to the leak being bigger on that side. All the o-rings were rock solid and flat as pancakes.
