Hi Guys,
Changing discs and pads all round on the Meega at the moment but the pads don't seem to come with a fitting kit - i.e. new pins and springs to hold them in position.
I have two makes of pads - mintex and ATE - but neither comes with new pins and springs. None of the parts companies around here have them and the vauxhall dealer doesnt have them either.
Any idea where I can get them?
Thanks
Dave

Whats wrong with the old ones??

Springs have rusted and broken - pins are in a bad way too.

Best going to a scrappy.

surely not? (It's pi$$ing down!) :-/

Non gen kits are surely available at a GOOD motor factors.... Not too dear at VX either... VX pads have anti rattle stuff stuck on already, no need for shims... pins and retain springs only needed!!
Try VX first, you'll be surprised... They'll order if you can wait.... Maybe get them to cross reference with another VX application... Veccy maybe...

Vx rear brake kit (P/N 9193476) supposedly comes with the anti-rattle springs and retaining pins. However the pins are available seperately - P/N 90509231 and springs are P/N 90509233 (assuming your rear discs are solid not vented)

Thanks for that. Local Vx dealer didnt have a clue and had no Omega brake parts in stock.
Will order these by part number.
Thanks for your help. :y
