On the saloon Omegas when it rains/has been raining do we have to put up with the rain just sitting on the window, even driving at speed the rain just sits there I have tried allsorts of cleaners including RainX But the problem remains.
I have learnt not to open the drivers window while going arond corners after its been raining after numerous soakings now ;)

No different to any other saloon I'm afraid.... ....HRW helps a little.

I have been told dont know how true it is as I ain't tried it yet, cut a potatoe in half then rub then cut bit onto the window.... The rain is supposed to run straight off then ::)

Oh ok just thought someone may have an idea :)I suppose I can live with it :y with the help I have gained from people on here my list of little jobs is getting less thank you everyone ;) Oh just ordered OOF stickers for it now ;D

It must be due to the aerodynamic shape of the car,it appears to be only the rear screen the rain wont clear from

I know what your saying, thought it would be good to have a rear windscreen wiper but i just look through the wing mirrors now ;D

yeah its the same for damn near all cars, there's only a very small minority of saloons that have a rear window wiper, but i cant remember which, but we have to rely on the heated rear window, or my method of wiping it off before i drive anywhere if it's stopped raining, cos its awkward tryin to get the registration of the following car that insists on trying to stick to my bumper

That crappy little escort ford was the only one I remember - was it the orion?
As said, all cars with no wiper suffer, and wipers generally only fitted on cars with straight glass - ie estates and hackbacks.

I find that Auto Glym "Glass Polish" gets the rain running off well, I use it on my caravan window.. runs off well.... that way I can curtain twitch in the rain!!!! ;D ;D
DC ( Nosey Ba5tard )
