Title: heater bypass valve
Post by: iwannacarthatworks on 18 July 2007, 18:33:28
hi, can anyone tell me where exactly (to the mm) where the valve is. i am loosing coolant and have steam coming from the drivers side rear after a journey. i looked down the engine and saw some pipes covered in white. im thinking that might be it. found one on e bay no. 200116573602. £25 inc postage. is it hard to fit.
any help would be great thanks

Genuine part £28.25 +vat. Doing mine at end of week along with long awaited cam cover gasket & leads & coolant change. Good luck, mine should be easier as i will have plenum & wiper scuttle removed.

Behind drivers side bank of cylinders - it has 3 coolant pipes and a small vacuum pipe...

Good luck.

Changed mine on the 2.6 this afternoon, removed the wiper mechanism to improve access, hardest part is removing the hose clips. Surprisingly easy.
