Perhaps one of the Mods' could add the following info to this maintenance guide?
The recommended torque setting for the crank case breather tube is 25 Nm and the gasket part number is 90500571. This is a metal gasket and the bead on the gasket must point upwards to the crankcase ventilation flange.
The part number for the throttle body gasket is 90543950.
Hope this is of help to someone.

Is it? :-/
The one i have here is pn 92067502 :-/
If im thinking of the same gasket......

Well, the one I'm referring to was a diamond shape, made of metal, black in colour, with a hole in either end and a raised bead as mentioned. The part number was written on the label as supplied by the Vx dealer.
Now, I could be wrong and if there is any doubt then of course leave the number out. The dealer was able to give me the part without the part number and to make matters worse, there was no gasket on the car in the first place. I suspect that this had never existed from new.

If its the gasket shown in AA's guide, 4th pic down, top left....then the one i have here is exactly the same.
I would take a piccy of the gasket in its bag showing part no......but camera software is on pc with knackered monitor

Did did a bit of searching about....to find out why i have a different part no.....
In a program i dont have i might of found that your p/n is indeed the gasket :y
But my p/n doesnt return anything, which suggests my p/n has supersuceeded your p/n
Perhaps someone can confirm this :)
-
I too would take a picture of said gasket but mine is now on the said flange on the said crank case breather tube. However, if I was to have a copy of the programme that you clearly don't have, how would I search for a part number? :-/

Well you need EPC....but that would be naughty.....and off the top of my head....from what a vx storeman showed me.....you hit the search function once loaded up from the menus at the top and clicky the button to search on p/n....then enter p/n and then clicky on search :y

Gosh haven't lots of us not got a lot of programs. ;D ;D

I can only guess the ones we have, have been updated.....perhaps golfbuddy can confirm his looked exactly the same as yours in the 4th pic.....inculding that sorta square bit on the outside near one of the screw holes
-
No, I'm sure mine never had the little square bit sticking out of the side. The gasket would only fit one way though with the bead the right way up.
Also, in that programme which no one has got, I'm pretty sure I saw that the gasket on there never had the little bit on the side either. Although, seeing as I haven't got that programme I never saw anything, honest gov'.

Think i noticed in the vx dealer...the EPC images are a bit vague sometimes....so might not have shown it

Looking at the one ive got.....it will fit two ways.....one way it wont turning it round.....but turn it upside down i carnt see why it wont fit....but as you said earlier the groove has to the correct way up.....so bearing this in mind....it should be fitted only one way :y

Pictures worthy of Markjay AA :y Love the signature btw - I even found myself cleaning inside my horn this weekend, and the tray under the oil filter and of course the chassis rails ;D Wife thinks I'm mad - I told her I was told to do it by the AA and she walked away somewhat bemused ;)
