Title: it aint starting.
Post by: dawchiks on 26 July 2007, 22:03:37

i have the sound like when i try to start the car i hear the sound when starter is trying to start the engine, but engine doesnt start. i have fuel. as i saw the battery LED was illuminated, i charged it up, so maybe the low voltage is problem. when i finished charging it , I putted it in car.so gonna see tomorrow - works, or not.

p.s the problem started when i started car,  (battery led was "burning" red), the engine worked about 2 seconds, and it stopped working. aftter that i tried to start it, but nothing (i could hear how started is working, but maybe with too low power?)

any1 knows?

It's normal for the battery light to be on until the engine starts.

If it's turning over on the starter I'd say it should have enough power to start the car.

I'd try cranking it on the starter motor for a few seconds with your foot hard on the accelerator in case the engine is flooded. If it starts after this it could be that it got flooded or that the injectors are leaking and casuing it to flood when standing.

Failing that, take out the plugs and check for a spark, and see if they smell of fuel.
