Post by: VX1 on 04 August 2007, 15:14:46
I will be receiveing a IR fob very soon which I have just bought off ebay and will need it programming for my car. So has anyone got a TECH1 or knows someone who has? I am in Reading so if anyone is near to Reading I can travel to you (not to far though).

Ok thanks Omegatoy. As soon as I have received the fob I will get intouch to arrange to come and see you, hopefully before I go away on my hols next week.  :y

I am sure it will come back to you. Might need something else done as well like the Idle for instance, it idling at 1000 rpm at the moment so it just needs turning down abit.

Thats a fault, dont use engine management to turn it down, fix the root cause.

I take it the problem would be to do with the breather pipes then?

That high, I would be looking for unmetered air...   ...or a sticky throttle

The throttle seem's to be working ok and moving freely. Unmetered air? Do you mean air flow meter knackered?

No, air bypassing MAF, ie airleak!

So the air filter trunking is the cause? Or would it be something else? Sorry to be a bit thick but never come across this with all the Omega's I have had.
