I, have required another Omega. Yes another omega by jove! It is a 2.5 v6 cd Auto in green.
Haven't picked the car up yet until I can get rid of the car I am repairing, once that happens then I will take it.
There are a few problem's with it
1) Oil cooler needs replacing.
2) No hot air into the cabin just cold.
3) speedo not working.
4) Cambelt kit (just the cambelt was changed and the water pump, so don't need to do those)
Just small things that need sorting out which I will do myself to save money. I could post pictures of the car but its on ebay as to be breaking for spares but its not I AM HAVING IT.

I know that there is a steel rim on there but it will have the right alloy wheel soon. Let me know what you think.

Two obvious questions:
How much? ::)
What's the mileage? (moderate :) or intergalactic :-/)
Body looks clean, though, so it looks like an excellent project car. Let us know how you get on. :y

If your happy with it and the price you paid, then its a bargin mate. Thats exactly the same as what i have done :y Looks like it needs one hell of a polish :D
-
Good to see it being saved rather than being broken for a few (fingers crossed) trivial faults.
Good luck with it.

1) How much? £850 plus I will service his other omega's to get the price down.
2) Well taking a rough guess (as the speedo stopped working when it was on the road) 198000 on the clock plus roughly another 40,000 on top.
I haven't paid anything for it yet.

You can have Ronnie's W plate for £900 and it's all done ::)

Driver's side rear door seems to be darker than the rear panel and the front bumber is marked.
Tbh 240,000+ miles I'd be looking at less than half your estimate. I'm not knocking the car but spend your hard earned cash wisely ;)

Make sure that the tensioners were also done as its those that fail

I did point out that just the cambelt was changed but then stated I don't need to do those. So I will be doing the whole thing. Cambelt, tensioners and roller's.

Too nice to scrap, but that is alot of miles!
I admire your vision! :y Go for it, but try and get the price down again. ;)

I never owned a 2.5 v6 so this is going to new to me.
First thing I am going to do is give it a good flush through to get all the crap out.
One thing he did say was that it blow's out cold air (before the oil cooler went) what would be the cause of this?
-
Good luck Paul - and welcome to the V6 club :y
-
what would be the cause of this?
Cooling system full of Mayo hence restricting coolant flow to heater matrix.
We had the same thing on Laidback's V6, before we changed the oil cooler.
Once we flushed it through with traffic film remover, heat soon started to come through :y

Thanks james for the advice. So all I need to do is flush before fitting the new oil cooler by way of bypassing the the oil cooler hoses by joining them together?

Flush everything, in every direction :)

I seem to remember you are not too far from me, if you are available when I do it, you're welcome to come watch the cooler change on my project..
