Hi, where's the engine number stamp on the block?
Thanks :)

Hi Mate,
The engine number is on the passenger side of the engine on the flywheel bellhousing area where the gearbox mates up with the engine....can only be accessed from under the car. Its on a vertical flatted surface. Just found mine after having a new engine fitted.
cheers

Still can't find it :( is it near the oil filter?

Ok. Lay under the car with your feet sticking out the front passenger side. Where the engine flangle meets the bellhousing for nthe gearbox, there is a vertical part of that flange, about 4" long and 1/2" wide that has the engine number stamped in there. It is the very out edge of the flange facing the passenger wing. Above the oil flitre, back to the gearbox and Ta Da!!!!
