Hi Chaps...
i posted a while ago about my brakes making a blood loud screeching upon braking.....
so...finally got round to taking all the pads out and filing down / chamfering the leading a trailing edges of my pads to try to cure the really loud screeching i get from the brakes.....and nothing....in fact it has got worse......?
i suppose the next step is new brakes and discs.......unless anyone else has an idea...?

Did you get rid of the wear ridge on the outer/inner outboard/inboard extremes of both discs??
You know what I mean, that shiny ridge disc circly thing you see on the disc once it gets worn a bit..... ;D

HAve you put copaslip on the rear of the pads too? This cuts it down dramatically if you get the squealing. But you may have a marked disc now - is the noise coming from any particular side?

1: Are you using harder pads i.e. EBC's etc or are they standard GM.... WHAT MAKE ARE THEY????
2: Are your discs showing signs of glazing? They appear to be laquered when glazed...
3: Are all your anti squeel shims / springs / clips in place??
DC :-/
