Title: a tyre sizes

what is the biggest tyres a omega 2001 will take on the rear with out rubbing the arches the wheels are 8 x 17 et 35?

I've got 265/40/R17's on 10J Azev rims fitted on the back of my MV6 estate that doesn't touch the wheelarches even with a load.  :y

sorry i should have said saloon but maybe that makes no difference thaks for the reply ;)
