Hi,
have just retested my codes with the old paperclip and only have one code now 62 Fuel tank vent valve Voltage high, so what might this be, and how can i solve it?????

On the back of your cylinder head, on the drivers side of
your DIS pack, is the Vent valve.
Once the engine is up to Temp, and the throttle position is away from
idle, the ECU sends a signal to this valve to cycle open and vent
the fumes from your fuel tank (via a charcoal collection canister),
into your throttle body via a vac pipe to be burnt in the engine.
This code means it's not getting the correct response from the valve.
Check the wiring and plug connection before condemning the valve,
as it's basically just an on/ off switch.

Hi again, Just had a look, is it a smallish black box about 1.5 inch square with 2 vac pipes attached and a red connector, if so it was just dahgling there, where does it fix to????
Also the conector has one of the wires broken, so this may be the problem then... woohoo...

The valve normaly bolts to a bracket by the engine vent housing on the rear of the 1-3-5 head (passenger side)

Lordmpl has a 4 pot according to his info, Marks DTM Calib.

Right i have soldered the wire back together, have started the engine and letting it run to get warm, will the code auto clear, as some of them do, or will i have to get it reset?????
How will i know if it is working????
Could this be the reason I have had a petrol smell in the cabin???

For fuel smell in cabin, remove the access plate in your boot and check
the 2 Fuel pipes for corrosion that come out of the top of your fuel
tank.
The fumes find their way into the boot and from there into the cabin
if they leak.

I checked that the other week when it came up, mine seems to be ok..... Thank God...
Well to update.... The EML has gone off, for the first time since I had the car, its been a struggle, but its off......
Just checked the paperclip again, is showing codes 38 and 62, but the EML light goes off when engine starts... Is this OK, will they eventually disappear???

I don't know how long it takes for the codes to purge from
the ECU memory. I'll leave that to the Tech 2 experts to
quote how the different ECU's deal with it.
If the EML light is off, it's looking good. :y
