'Canbus' only applies to the newer Vauxhalls MK5 Astra, Vectra 2, Signum etc. 'Tech 2' is the system interface required for omega 98 onwards? The Boy will fill you in i'm sure. The real 'test' is how many functions it will control. There are alot of cheapo units around. The proper kit costs a couple of thousand :y
Just my understanding, it's probably wrong though ::)

Elm 327 won't work with yours as it's '98 model they only work with 2001+ models
cheers Pete

Only the DBW units are EOBD/OBDII compliant.
For 98 2.0l, engine can be done with paperclip, other systems need a real Tech2 (best), opelscan, or cheapo Tech2 (worse)

Astra-H, Vectra-C/Signum, and Corsa-D are the current Vauxhall CAN vehicles.
