hi gang need help .
my 94 20l 16v cd omegas key fob has packed up have another but not programed to my car (its the inared type),
what do i need to do and how much will it cost about .
knakerd as car wont start because of imobleiser(any way of bypassing temp?? pm is is)
please help pete

Have you tried programming the key as one would do after a battery change? Saved me once. Key lost contact with immo for no good reason, but putting key in ignition and pushing the button towards the sensor brought it back to life.
What do you mean by the other key not being programmed to the car? If it's one of the original keys it should work.

I believe the immobiliser on IR cars can be easily bypassed, but I do not have the details, and fortunately, do not appear on many forums. Please, if anyone knows, keep it to PMs ;)

Try an autolocksmith, or an independent garage that has a Tech1 or generic key programmer...

To be honest, I don't know with the IR setup. Certainly needed for the RF ones, but the IR one is a simpler system.

any body else know if its needed or not even how to bypass imobleiser on ir system, all advice greatly recived and maybe some beers at a meeting ;) ;)

Ow, it works, done it a few times on the old IR system.
You can remove the glove box as a starter.
