Am I on an impossible mission looking for a black or silver one of these.???
AFIK only ex-plod MV6 were manual, and these are not likely to have leather :(
As for colour, marked ex-plod are typically white or silver, un-marked cars came in various colours is you may get lucky with a black one?

Behave! That's not strictly true! There was one without leather on ebay a little while back...

Yes, they are few and far between but there are some around. Leather would be easy to swap into a car without it and would be a nice touch (the doorcards were never leather).
Also manual conversion is also possible, though a little more involved!
Go for it! I would personally say you want to try and find a facelift model, a little bit smarter and more modern. Police spec MV6's are often lacking some of the 'goodies'
Best of luck :y

So the sports leather interior is an easy swap for the sports cloth ?
The seats with the thigh support I mean..
-
There are none on EBAY that I can find.. :(
Any other good sources that people know of ?

You probably won't get a leather trim ex-plod 1 because they have top spec engines low spec trim so unless leather has been put in there i think your out of luck on that one, unless you can find a 3.0 MV6 facelift with a manual box you will have to go ex-police because they are the only manual 3.2's and are quite a rare find. Thats if you wanted a facelift.

It's a shame it's a auto and a saloon

there's a black manual mv6 estate on autotrader for £1100 no leather but you can change it yourself

I wonder what would be best...
Interior transplant or re-trim..?
I'm guessing the leather sports interiors are pretty scarce too........

The Mv6 leather Seats are easy to swap over as long as you get facelift seat they fit stright in to another facelift no problems at all.
I fitted facelift MV6 leathers into my 2.0 Facelift and all the plugs matched up a treat took me about an hour to swap them over and that was with changing a pretentioner as the numpty guy did not unplug the bat when removing them and set it off.
I had been looking for MV6 leather for awhile I saw a few Post 98 but these where no good As I needed Air bags in the front seats.
I ended up paying £250 for mine and the drivers is a little scuffed and needs a repair but the heated parts work front and back so i was pleased with that.
And best of all I wanted Dark Grey and the guy advertisted them as black so when i went to pick them up i was mega please as they were the colour i had been looking for bonus :)

AFIK if you have mini-facelift or later car (i.e. with side airbags in the seat) you will need to remember to swap the seats with the battery disconnected, and if you turn the switch on before the new seats are wired then you will get the airbag light on the dash and will need Tech2 or ('cheapo' Tech2) to reset it.

you can get retail spec 3.0 MV6 manuals with leather and in Estate form.
rare beasts though.
You can't get facelift MV6 3.2 manuals in retail form. Only x-plod

As Tunnie says, minifacelift MV6 available in manual, not uncommon, but there are more autos. Finding with leather as well will narrow your chances a bit further....

Just to chip in, i believe estate rear seats are different to saloon rears and not interchangable. So to make a cloth MV6 estate into one with leather sports seats you'd probably end up having to gut both a leather estate (elite if you want heated rears) AND a leather MV6 saloon for it's sports fronts.

Ok..
So this might be a good motor: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=120149723300&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=002
But I would need to hunt out an interior.
Maybe a retrim of the existing seats would be better....?

That one has both cloth trim, and is pensioner-ready (automatic) so not worth the bother really.... by the time you're replaced the interior and gearbox :O
Manuals aren't that hard to come by, the sports leather is much more difficult to find (and easy to install) so I'd at least hold out for a manual version then look for the seats. Unless of course it's very cheap... I know of one guy who bought an auto and converted it to manual, cos it was cheaper than buying a manual in the first place!
