I was really worried about this job. After doing it I realised it was so easy. You will need a 15mm ring spanner to release the tension. A 15mm socket with a 3" extension bar for the tensioner bolts.

1 out 1 in. Do not take the belt right off unless you are changing it, just slip it off the alternator and the tensioner. When replacing put the belt round everything except the alternator, then release the tension  and slip it on the alternator.

Mine was very rattly, mostly when the throttle is blipped to about 1500 and released quickly. It made a vast improvement all round. Good luck with it and you will reap the rewards.  :y
