Your A/C condensor stays where it is, you don't need to touch it. All work is carried out from above and isn't too difficult. A new rad from Vx is about £200 on Trade Club.
If the leak isn't too bad how about Barrs leak stop? I got all the way from Evesham to Manchester towing a caravan on the strength of a bottle of it.

leak does seem to be very small but expect it will get worse as time goes on,but would prefer not to suffer the cost of a new one....have read all sorts of reports about additives to coolant so am really wary about putting anything other that antifreeze and water in coolant system..naturally I would prefer the cost of a bottle of rad treatment but can anybody give advise on which will work and will they cause further problems over the months.

Pete...thanks for info..have bok marked as suspect new rad will be a better beat that second hand although have had a kind offer of a cheaper second hand one....strange to say over the last few days and my constant 150miles per day have not had any issues with water level in headre tank although every morning there is a slight patch on driveway which is definitly water/antifreeze but doubt if it would fill a thimble??so for the moment i am going to save my money and the effort in replacing rad ,and will keep eye on header tank and when neded top up with 50/50 mix and hope it is longer than sooner that it gets worse//or maybe it wont and just stay as is..lets hope ..but thanks again
