Getting a little pissed off with this now. >:(
Things changed;
Crank sensor
Dis pack
Plugs
Leads
Rocker cover gaskets
Head gasket
All timed up perfectly (cheers Andy!)
Does and average of 19 to the gallon, idles at 400rpm... you can smell the fuel too!
Seems to disappear at 4k and is very powerful.
Been chipped and de-cated.
A garage put a "recon" engine in before I got my mitts on it - thought the miss was due to HGF.
Starts and drives OK but theres a definite miss under 4k.
Anyone have and ideas? or suggestions?

Check that all the electrical connectors on the injector rail or properly fitted.....seen some where they are not fully latched when people remove the loom because they havn't spotted the big multiplug at the rear of the engine

do a compression test bud having same probs on my mv6 at min and is in same sort of tune as yours !! just ordered head gasket manifold gasket and a set of two inlet and two exhaust valves !! all caused by a faulty spark plug :'(

Sounds like it's running open loop. Any fault codes? Duff engine temp sensor? Duff air intake temp sensor?

Thanks guy's looks like I have no spark on pot 5!?
Some of you may remember a while ago I had no spark on pot 1, changed the dis for a vectra one (the one thats on it now) which I had in the shed from ages ago.
It did have the wrong plug on it so I modified the connector to suit my oval one.
To cut a long story short, I think I might of only been running on 3 or 4 cylinders at first :o
And now 5. I have triple checked everything and can't find anything else wrong....
I've even relocated the dis to the top of the plenum for easy access. ::)
So, it's either. dis... wiring... OR ecu.

Well it isn't ECU as the plugs are paired, so it is either DIS, plug lead or plug.

Good point Martin - I'd plump for DIS.
Seem to have had a few that just fail on one plug on this forum. I suspect an internal breakdown that gives a path to ground for just one side of the coil output.

New DIS are not too bad on Ebay
