Title: LPG Conversion
Post by: stevebubs on 26 September 2007, 23:28:01
Considering taking a job which will mean belting up and down the motorway every day and probably use 1.5 -> 2 tanks of fuel every week.

LPG is an obvious way to lower the long term commuting cost. However, how much is an LPG conversion?

Does it have to be fitted by professionals, or can I do it myself?

Bearing in mind the cost of fuel, if I'm using 6 tanks a month, that's £360. IIRC, LPG is about half the cost of unleaded so a potential £150+/month saving.

Any pointers etc more than welcome.

Thanks

Stephen

PS The car is a facelift 2.5 V6 CDX

You could DIY it for about £700/£900, or you could get a pro conversion, I know of where you can get a proper conversion for the V6 for £1300...
