Hi all, I have just purchased myself a newer Omega, got the 2.5 one, had the 2.0 before...
It is a 2.5 V6, 1996 "N" reg CDX, Auto, If that helps.
I have had a rumage under the bonnet abd can see these 2 plugs unclipped, but unclipped to what i dont know....
Under the expansion tank is this 2 pinned clip, anyone know where that might go??? The cable runs from there ander the air filter and down to the front somewhere.

This one is attached to a piece of plastic, that may have broken off, it seems to have a sharp edge on it, as if it was broken, This on has 3 pins.

Any help would be appreciated.
Oh Yeah, the Cruise control does not seem to work either, maybe its related, the guy i bought it from said it worked one day, but then not the next. :(

That looks very much like the front multiram connector....is the ECU light on?
Is it coming on and going off when the car is started?
-
It does come on when ignition on, then goes off when started, allthough it does not seem as quick as my 2.0.
ECU light comes on if I welly it a bit, but goes off again, when calmed down.
Any help??
Thanks.. :y

1st one I'd say, coolant level message thingy for the mid?
2nd is the crank sensor :o (maybe the old one if it runs?)
-
I will have a go to try and trace the wires on the 2nd one, so if the first one is coolent sensor where would that plug in, cant find an type of plug on the expansion tank???? If unplugged would it not be saying coolent low???? As it is'nt..
Thanks, So far.. Mark.

The coolant sensor is on the bottom of the expansion tank. I don't know if that is it though.
EML coming on under 'welly it a bit' conditions could suggest the multiram as Mark says.
-
so where would that plug in???
If it was a 2.0, i could probably suss it out
:y

Somewhere (I can't recall) on the big black ducting (trumpets) between the air filter and the throttle body. I assume onto the multiram actuator itself which is centre front on the trumpeting. Looking again at your picture it doesn't look long enough to reach though... :-/ Would be much easier looking at a real engine bay!
-
Ok Then, I have taken a few more pics, maybe shed some light.....
Engine Bay....
The Plugs seem to be on there....
And on there.....
And another one showing the elusive plug....
Now i have a look under the expansion tank, a cant feel a plug hole, although, if you look in the last pic, where the brake fluid box is there is a wire coming down there to the expansion tank, this goes no further then the bottom of the tank, maybe plugged in there, cant really see, without removing it. So this leaves the bl@@dy one hanging near the cruise module, i thought it was for that, well hoping in fact, as it does not work, but there is a plug already in it, so maybe not???
Thanks all so far.. ;D :y ;D

Can you figure out where it comes from?
-
Just looked under my bonnet, only plug resembling one that looks like yours (near to the expansion tank) goes to the auxiliary water pump, hth, anyone local to you with a V6 so you can compare...Wayne
-
It goes down the bottom, near the cross member into a black platic box with clips on that runs the width of the car, joins all the other wires in there.
Cheers. :y

Looks like the plug that goes to the aux pump, that has already been suggested, but as you dont have the aux pump then it should be taped /cable tied up to the main loom out of the way.. That does not go to the coolant tank, wrong shape plug.

By the way, is that a rust hole on the edge of the suspension leg top mount, if it is that is the first time i have seen rot there, :-?
