Help I appear to be loosing coolant not a great amount but it is loosing coolant I can see a slight drip at the rear of the engine it looks as if its coming from just back from the oilfilter . So I would say it is from the top of the engine right at the back . Any suggestions I also have a slight oil leak thats appeared at the same time but thats at the front of the engine collecting around the ledge where the sump is fitted . There is no sign of water in the oil or the other way around and nothing coming from the exhuast. Heater and aircon both working ok :-/

Water. Valley? If so, cooler plate, stat, coolant bridge, HBV to coolant brifge hose, small hose from bridge to TB.
Oil. Cam cover gaskets, cam seals, crank seal.
Can't think of anything else

Does that mean pleneum off to get to those bits then for the water :-/

You'll probably need to get it off to see where its coming from.
M_DTM made a great gadget - a coolant cap with valve in it - so you can pressurise the coolant to 10 PSI or so, and check where its leaking. Might have a go at making one myself, but need to talk to him to find out how.

Though I know you have a dry 'workshop' should it rain ::)

Regardless of where the fluids are appearing I would suspect and eliminate the usual suspects of HBV and cam cover seals to start with.
You should be able to shine a torch beam on the HBV - try with AC on and off and on hot/cold. Tell tale is a lot of brown staining in the vicinity.
Cam covers, start by pulling HT leads from no.1 and check for oil in the plug well. Trace around the external joins as far as possible (both sides) with your finger, look/sniff for tell tale burnt oil coming off the manifolds.
Maybe neither of these but they are frequent failure points.

if you smell coolant inside the car (heater on) also check front side carpets..
