Hi,
I have a 2000 Facelift 2.5v6 MODEL. Recently I started the car and noticed the air conditioning/heating would not start, all the lights and display was completely blacked out, the heated seats work, the cd works but none of the heating, not even the rear window heater. I checked the fuse and it appears the fuse has blown so I inserted another one but this blew straight away. Four new fuses later I am still without the heating/air conditioning etc as the fuses just blow immediately after putting them in, coming into the rainy season the car is misting up rapidly so I could do with some help please. I am not mechanically minded and have not got a clue were to start. Many thanks to anyone who helps.
Cheers Billy!

Hi Billy....
had exactly the same thing about 4 weeks ago! check out my recent postings on here....
had the same fuse issue... although mine didn't blow new ones when i replaced it!
i even bought a replacement panel from a breakers (100 quid!!) and that didn't fix it...
in the end i bit the bullet and took it to a local Auto Electrical specialist (who came highly recommended).
it turned out to be a blown circuit board... they repaired it and refit and all is fine now...
think you might need to do the same mate!!
Gord.

Thanks Gord, was it expensive?

Have you had the radio etc out at all recently? as you might have a trapped wire that has had the insulation bared due to vibration of car and is causing a short to ground

I paid £80 including Labour to have the circuit board fixed...
it all works fine now and garanteed for a year....
my problem does sound a lot like yours so might be worth getting an Electrical garage to take a look..
let me know how you get on!
