On the run back from London yesterday in my 2.2, I stopped off at petrol station after about 10 mins of setting off.... filled up and went to start.
It took a LOT of cranking to start, almost 3-4 seconds before it caught.
Drove fine afterwards.
About 40 mins later stopped off someware for a couple of hours, on the re-start it was fine.
Occasionally its done this before when semi-warm, its taken a lot of cranking.
Its had a new cam sensor about a year ago.... crank sensor on the 4pots? :-/

No warning lights?
Nope all was well on the dash. Which makes me think its a the crank sensor.
When the cam sensor was going, after the lot of cranking the spanner light came on.
This is different though, when the cam sensor was going it was very hot starts affected. It seams to be semi warm starts now... around 80 on the temp gauge

It could be crank sensor as the 2.2 will still start after messing about.....as i showed TB once......but it will be moaning about the crank sensor.....so you need to get the codes read tunnie :y

The codes on the 2.2 were emissions related, and came back after a quick drive.
