Title: cam pick up resistance
Post by: the_assessor on 14 October 2007, 17:57:06
Any one have a clue on this one?

Bought the omega dismantled. (never again)

I have it built bakc up, but have noe spark, chased my back end a little to find it and now suspect the cam pick up.

does anyone know the resistance of the pick up when  not connected?

Cheers Guys

Is the crank sensor plugged in, and do you have any fault codes logged..

I think the cam sensors are (3 wire type) have some electronics embedded in them so not a straightforward thing to test off the car.

Forget the cam sensor, it will run with this faulty but have a 4K rpm limit.

It only provides cylinder firing order (you cant get that from crank).
