He all going over my purchase in an anal way, found a dew problems but nothing that i cant deal with. need some advice on how easy it would be to check/remove/replace the heating element on my driver side leather seat.
have repaired one on a saab seat before and that just involved taking the leather skin off and soldering the wire back into place.
with this i obviously have the side airbags, pretensioners etc all in close range.
anybody on here had any dealings with them? would it be worth it just to have a warm rear end on those cold winter or for that matter summer mornings?
regards

Heating mats are integral to leather seats. Once you have the cover off the base you'll more than likely find the fault - look for the burnt bit! You might be lucky as I was and get away with cutting a bit of element out & resoldering, but a new mat for the NON leather could always be fitted under the leather, it might take a nadgers longer for heat to reach you nether regions ....... ;D ;D

The worse that can happen is that you end up with a seat that doesn't heat up! Remember to disconnect the battery & leave it few minutes before you remove the seat. It's heavy! :o
