I have a very wierd problem, and was wondering what everyone has to say.
Basically I took my MV to my local VX dealer who I have entrusted for years to have a four wheel alignment as it seems latley that the old girl is getting a bit soggy. They carried out the alignment on three of the four wheels, (castor, camber and track) but when it came to the O/S/F wheel they could not pull up the camber, so the wheel is constantly pulling in at the top. hence why the last set of tyres where worn on the inside edge. The car sits lower than normal by 30mm, and so I was wondering if anyone else has come across the same problem. :-/..... ie run out of ajustment or maybe something else :'(
My dealer said that it could possibly be the front suspension giving up or bent, or the car has a history which i don't know about.
Needless to say the they said they could'nt charge me for the work done because the work was incomplete :y

If for whatever reason there is no camber adjustment, Regal Autosport do a Camber Adjustment Kit.
Easy to fit, even comes with the correct drill bit.
It's a case of wheel off, drill out the upper of the two bolt hole to accept cammed bolt, fit the kit, repeat on other side. Job done.
It's best getting the job done by whoever does the camber adjustment otherwise you'll have to set it visually and then drive to wherever you're getting the camber set up. If they quote stupid money for fitting the kit
I fitted the kit to my 40mm lowed Elite about 4yrs ago, along with concentric poly bushes for the rear. I think the front kit cost about 80 squid.
Personally I thought it a bit expensive for what the kit consists of but I couldn't find anything else and certainly did the job.

Did you say stealer :question
4 wheel alignment is not for the mega. If you could get to WIM in Hemel i'd take a bet that Tony could sort it for you.
Tracking has an effect on camber. Tony reccomends the following for tracking,
Front +10' +- 10'
Rear +20 +- 10'
Camber front & rear -1dg 20' +- 40' motorway running in the main
-1dg 15' +10' toe around town
The stock setting is 1dg 40' +-45'
And on the rear the camber is altered by the tracking and only the tracking. think about it :question
As far as I am aware castor is not adjustable.
check it against your print out if they gave you one. you could also ask Tony to look at your printout, he no doubt could give you a good indication as to what is up.

Try a different alignment place, who know what they are doing...
