Hi Mike and welcome to the forum :y
You can get good results by fitting cams from a 3.0ltr ;)
-
3.0 ltr cams give about 1mm more lift over standard 2.5 cams bud good for about 20bhp :y

I HAVE FITTED 3.0LTR CAMS TO MINE AND THEY ARE GOOD FOR ABOUT 20BHP. MAKE S THE CAR FAR MORE FLEXIBLE TO DRIVE. FIT A 4 BAR FUEL PRESSURE REG AS WELL TO IMPROVE THE FLAT SPOT.

ffcgary1 where do you get a 4bar regulator from?
Also my real question, rear side window demisters? I am intrigued :-?

4.0 bar FPR can be found here:

I'm a bit curious whether the FPR is the same for x20xev. Anyone?

Ebay mate for the 4 bar. about £40. :y

If only i had some money :'(
Ok so 3.0 cam into a 2.5 give more bhp.
So 3.2 cam to a 3.0 would give?

They were fitted to earlie Elite's and I have heard that they are sought after by swingers :D

And hence why SWMBO wants you to keep the older car and get rid of the new one?

Got my 4 bar FPR from local motor factors. They had to order it though. 60-70 euro (in NL). But that was before I heard the 3.8 bar from the 2.6 can be had from Vauxhall for half that and is just as good apparently :-/. And, yes it did make a difference for me. :)

Anyone knows the P/N for the 3.8bar FPR (and if it fits the 2litre)? The 4bar for V6 looks similar to the one on my 4pot.

the number on my 3.8 bar fpr off of a vecky 2.6 is 0 280 160 642 and it does fit the 2.0l but if you just go to vauxhall and ask for the fpr off of the vecky 2.6L 2000 model witch is the one i have they should be able to get it the next day hope this helps
