hi all have been meaning to get round to fixing my heated seat drivers side, what i want to know is it a pig of a job and what parts do i need!!!!!!
-
If its cloth, see Maintenence Guides. If its leather... :'(
-
"ITS LEATHER" NOW GIVE ME THE BAD NEWS!!!!!
-
nite mare on leather :-X
-
I suspected it would be leather as the non-sports leather heaters seem to be prone to failure. It would appear the heater pads are sewn into the hide, and hence not replacable.

aren't the sports leather seats prone to failure then TB?

the rumour I'd heard is that it's possible to put a replacement element underneath the leather - it'd take a bit longer for the heat to transfer through, but would be better than having a cold arse!!! ;D

Take the seat out & have a look. :y :y I fixed my leather seat (Twice! 1 Omega & 1 Senator) by cutting out a small section of the element that had burnt out! Ta Da! I had a heated seat. Just look for the scorch mark If its already broke - you can't break it any more. Remember to give it 5/10 mins though after you've diconnected the battery before you start messing due to the pyrotechnics in your seat. :o

could it not be a fuse or lose connection? (I have similar problem BTW)

...... or you could just put a heater pad from a fabric upholstered seat in between your leather & the seat base.
