hello everyone, i was looking at parts for omega's over the internet and it kept saying next to model something like this -> X20SE
there are different ones.
What do they mean/stand for?
Thanks,
Jamie
:) ;) 8-) :y

they're the engine code numbers ....
-
Hi jimbob, It means the engine type, the 'x20xe' I think is the 2.0 litre 16 valve ecotec....... QUOTE - I think!!! But as I'm not that clued up on the full spec someone on here will be able to give you more help. :y
-
For your specific example
X20SE
X=Euro2 compliant (emissions)
20=2Litre
S=compression ratio (9.5:1-10:1)
E=Multi point fuel injection
X20XEV is X20 as above, X=compression ratio of 10:1-11.5:1, E as above and V=volume model.

aaahhh, thanks everyone, really appreciate it!!!!

Jamie

I believe that stands for
Colour
Information
Display
... expensive to buy second hand ...
-
Yep and the other ones are Multi Info Display (the most common one, trip computer & check control etc), and Triple Info Display which is the basic one which shows only temperature, radio display and time.

..... and a GID. Can't remember what it satnds for but looks like .....

bottom right hand corner is the bit for the phone icons - it must've been turned off when I took the photo.
mpg to show economy when towing! :( :(

For the CIDs... I know they're like rocking horse deposits 2nd hand... but what if one breaks and you ring VX for a new one? Can VX still source them? (Of course, if we had one car with a CID, and quoted that reg number every time we rang, they might get suspicious...)
-
.... Can VX still source them? ......
Didn't some one post the price of them recently? Around a grand/£1000 seems to ring a bell. At that price I expect vx have skips full of them left.

Sweet baby deities on rocket-powered monkey bikes... if we all wanted one, do you think they'd do a group buy deal...? (I'm only half-joking...)
