Hello
I'm looking for self levelling rear shock absorbers for an Omega 2000....any suggestions of where I can get second hand or even new alternatives?
-
Hi Herbie! Welcome to the site.
Please would you be kind enough to update your profile to confirm your car details which will allow us to confirm correctly...
Facelift/Prefacelift model? Engine Size/Type? Estate/Saloon?
The guys on hear will nearly always recommend genuine parts but I believe self levelling shocks are available aftermarket from one of the big motorfactors. IIRC they are around £140 ea. from dealer :o about half that aftermarket.
There is always the option of doing away with the self levelling system also.

If you live by someone with a Trade Card you can get a pair of genuine ones for about £145 :y
-
:-? could you suggest a dealer - we already approached Monorep but they couldn't source the shocks

Vauxhall dealer will be able to order for you and as mentioned £145 for genuine parts with a tradeclub card which I would say is quite reasonable. See if you can spot a senior member on here that is local to you (location on left of post), and blag a favour if you don't have a card :y

Hello, if You dont care about self leveling, You can replace to standard shock absorbers-and remove fuse or relase from self leveling system. I found this:

There are a few members in London with access to Tradeclub to get you the genuine ones for under £150 the pair...
